SUMMER OF CHANGE 2009; ENDING THE INJUSTICE

Canadians from across the country have been emailing us, wanting to volunteer, speak, play music and set up their own booths on the issue that they are passionate about, which is absolutely amazing. The one thing that makes me smile these days is the fact, and it is a fact, that there are a lot of Canadians who do know about the injustices that are happening in our country, and they want to do something about it. That is why we are having this festival in the first place, because it can be very hard to resurface from all the political injustices, and believe that change can happen. CHANGE CAN HAPPEN, and it happens when disgruntled Canadians UNITE in their passion for positive change in a non-violent manner, and SHARE their knowledge with other Canadians that are like-minded or just plain curious. Vegan Mountain is moving to the West Kootenays this spring, and with our volunteers, we are going to be kick starting our plans for being sustainable and off-grid; one of the biggest political moves one can make in this oil and money hungry system. We are about unity, not ladder-climbing, money-laundering, or material wealth. We do believe in equality, with all species: animal, human, plant and other; this is not a dream it can be a reality, and as we have found out, many Canadians share the same belief, it is just that the corporate-paid media do not want us to know that we exist! So, if you are reading this, and are thinking that you also want to join us, maybe as a volunteer, a participant, a speaker, a musician, a booth owner, an artist or something else that you think Summer of Change 2009 should include, then email us at veganmountain@gmail.com, where the grassroots-at-heart meet.
